“Romans: The Gospel According to Saint Paul,”

This June, the Year of St. Paul will come to an end. It’s been a tremendous year for the St. Paul Center, full of many challenges, but even more blessings. Both in thanksgiving for this special year and to close out our own commemoration of St. Paul, the St. Paul Center will host its fourth annual conference for priests, deacons, and seminarians: “Romans: The Gospel According to St. Paul.”

From Monday, June 15 to Friday, June 19, 2009, 150 men will have the opportunity to plumb the depths of St. Paul’s faith and theology. Throughout the week, engaging, informative, and thought-provoking lectures by Center President Dr. Scott Hahn, as well as Center Fellows Dr. John Bergsma and Dr. Brant Pitre, will flesh out Paul’s contributions to the Church’s understanding of sin, salvation, and sacraments. There will also be ample time for prayer and reflection, with Mass, Eucharistic Exposition, Benediction, and spiritual meditations offered daily. The conference will take place in the new Fred M. Rogers Center at St. Vincent’s Seminary and Archabbey in Latrobe, PA. This state-of-the-art conference center is situated on the picturesque grounds of the country’s oldest Benedictine monastery, making it the ideal setting for both prayer and learning.

Although only priests, deacons, and seminarians may register for the conference, a 10-DVD set of all conference talks will be available later this summer. The cost will be $40 plus shipping and handling. Orders can be sent to Archabbey Publications, 300 Fraser Purchase Road, Latrobe, PA 16650.

“I believe watching the fraternity amongst the priests, deacons and seminarians was amazing,”

The cost of attending the conference is $525, which includes all meals and lodging on campus. The cost for seminarians is $250. To sign up for the conference or to learn more, contact Dr. Michel Therrien at 724-805-2324 or michel.therrien@email.stvincent.edu.
