Journey Through Scripture
A Parish Based Bible Study Program
Genesis to Jesus
The first study in the series, Genesis to Jesus looks at the whole story of Biblical history as the series of covenants that God has made with His people from creation through the present. Over the course of seven weeks, you will learn how all of the various covenants that God made with His people in the Old Testament are fulfilled in Christ and the Church. This is precisely the way that the Church reads the Sacred Scriptures in the Liturgy; we see the promises proclaimed in the Old Testament fulfilled in the New. This study is a great introduction to the Bible with something for everyone, from beginners to more advanced students of Scripture.
It is strongly recommended that participants in the Journey Through Scripture program take Genesis to Jesus before enrolling in any of the other studies. If this is not possible, participants should read A Father Who Keeps His Promises by Dr. Scott Hahn before taking the Bible and the Mass, Bible and the Virgin Mary, or Bible and the Sacraments studies.
Attention Genesis to Jesus presenters! All of the Student Notes and Outlines have been published in the Genesis to Jesus book. This means there is no more need to print and hand out copies.
