Some 6,000 people worldwide now have registered for the on-line Scripture studies being offered on www.SalvationHistory.com, the St. Paul Center website.
Registration is voluntary and Center officials estimate that the actual current number of people studying with our materials could be as high as 12,000-16,000. We're adding 50-75 new registrants each week on average.
There are students from almost every state in the United States along with students from the following countries: Albania, Argentina, Australia, Canada, Colombia, England, India, Ireland, Jamaica, Japan, Malaysia, Nova Scotia, Philippines, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Scotland, Slovakia, and South Africa.
* In Albania, Blessed Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity are using the Center's on-line courses as part of their basic spiritual formation.
* Husbands and wives are taking the classes together. Some parents have made the courses part of their home-schooling curriculum.
* One school is using the classes for 12th-grade religious education.
* Priests and lay ministers are using the courses as the basis of parish Bible studies.
* In New York, a Catholic prison chaplain is leading a Bible study based on the beginner's course.
Recently we received this letter from the pastor of a small inner-city Catholic Church in New York:
"Many of my parishioners have checked your web-site and we have made the commitment as a parish to use your introductory course as the sole adult religious education offering for the parish this Spring. As many who will be taking the course do not own computers we will be photocopy dependent. We are more of a large family than even a small parish and we have set aside two times during the week for people to meet and review and pray. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity and I expect great blessings from it."
The following is a sampling of other student comments:
I am amazed at my deepening understanding of the Bible and how it applies to life today. You truly have brought the Bible alive and into the present.

This course is being used by our rural parish in Jamaica, with leaders of our five scattered communities using print-outs at our communal Bible studies.

I am registering for your course as a refresher on Scripture, to assist me in my prayer life, and to help me be a more effective preacher.

Praise God!! I have been looking for a website like this for months. There are others out there but they charge tuition and I can't be sure I'm getting authentic "Church Teachings."

I have been listening to Scott Hahn for about 10 years, so I knew I could trust this course.
- Ocala, Fla.
I was baptized Catholic and received a Catholic education through 4th grade. Then my parents left the Church and me with them. I recently made the decision to come back and am excited to begin learning again.
- Nichols, N.Y.
I have taken Bible Studies in the past, Protestant and Catholic. I can tell the subtle Protestant slant on their studies. A couple of my friends are currently taking a well-know Protestant Study and don't see a problem, yet at the same time are now questioning their Catholic beliefs. I have expressed my concern and suggested we do this study with some Catholic apologetics along with our studies. So this is our beginning journey. Looking forward to learning and being more grounded as Catholics.

I am 75 years old and have always wanted to read the Bible cover to cover. Now I know I will.
