
Registration has opened for the second annual conference of our Letter & Spirit Project, to be held
October 27-28, 2006, at St. Paul Seminary in
Pittsburgh.
A panel of top biblical scholars will join
Dr. Scott Hahn to present and discuss papers on the theme of "Love and Sacrifice."
Dr. Hahn will kick off the two-day conference with a talk on "The Mystery Unveiled: The Nuptial Meaning of the Temple." The program will also include:
• Dr. David Fagerberg of the University of Notre Dame, who will speak on "Divine Love, Divine Liturgy."
• Center fellow, Dr. Brant Pitre of Holy Cross College, who will speak on "Jesus and the New Priesthood."
• Dr. Tim Gray of St. John Vianney Seminary in Denver, who will speak on "The Sacrifice of Praise: The Todah and the Eucharist."
• Center fellow, Dr. Mary Healy of Christendom College, who will speak on "Atonement and the Flesh of Christ."
The weekend will also include the delivery of the second annual Father Ronald Lawler, O.F.M. Cap. Memorial Lecture. This year's lecturer will be Fr. Thomas Weinandy, O.F.M. Cap., author of a dozen books and currently the United States Catholic bishops' top doctrinal official.
Registration costs $69 [$35 for full-time students] and includes all meals and talks as well as a copy of Letter & Spirit, volume 2, which will be published this fall. Space is limited. Scholarships are available for Catholic seminarians.
