Become a Defender of the Faith

It takes courage to be Catholic today. It also takes conviction, compassion, confidence, and grace. The culture is confused, people are wounded, and dark forces are at work. Only Jesus Christ can change that. But Christ doesn’t want to work alone. He wants to work with and through his Church. He wants to work with and through you and me.

If you want to learn how you can better carry out the work Christ has for you, then join St. Paul Center President Dr. Scott Hahn and Franciscan University of Steubenville for the 2014 Defending the Faith Conference: “Holy and Heroic: The Courage to Be Catholic.”

This summer, we’ll gather on the campus of Franciscan University from July 25-27, 2014, for three days of inspiring talks, powerful prayer, and encouraging fellowship. Beginning Friday morning, with the special early bird session, and concluding with Mass on Sunday morning, you’ll come to a deeper understanding of the forces working against the Church. You’ll also learn how you can be a more effective witness in the culture and discover how your prayer can become more fruitful.

As always, this year’s Defending the Faith Conference will feature keynote presentations by some of the Church’s most gifted theologians and apologists, including Dr. Scott Hahn, Jeff Cavins, Tim Staples, Pat Madrid, and Mark Hart. The conference will also feature a series of practical workshops on a wide-range of topics, including Mormonism, Islam, the Crusades, the Christian meaning of marriage, atheism, and evangelization.
