How Do I Get Trained?

There are two ways Journey Through Scripture Presenter training is offered:

We’ll Come To You!

The St. Paul Center travels around the country offering JTS training at the invitation of a diocese, parish or group. Training is open to anyone and is done in one day (generally a Saturday).

Though we are a non-profit, there are some costs associated with bringing us out to do the training:

We also require there be at least 50 trainees in attendance.

These expenses are charged to the group hosting us. The host group puts on the event and charges the trainees based on the host group expenses. (For example, a host group may decide to bring in lunch for the trainees, which would add a little to the cost of the event.)

For more information or to schedule local training, please contact Matthew Leonard via email at mattleonard@salvationhistory.com or call him at 740.264.9535.

Annual Training in Steubenville

Every July, Presenter training is offered in conjunction with the Applied Biblical Studies Conference (ABS) at Franciscan University of Steubenville.

Participants in the Journey Through Scripture training tracks usually begin training on Tuesday afternoon the week of the ABS conference. Training continues all day on Wednesday until the main conference kicks off that evening. This means trainees are able to receive the appropriate instruction from the St. Paul Center for Journey Through Scripture as well as attend a great conference at the same time.

The conference is hosted by Franciscan University, so registration and all logistical details are handled through their conference office. They can be reached on the web by clicking here or by phone at 800-437-8368. Make sure to say that you want to register for Journey Through Scripture in addition to the Applied Biblical Studies Conference.
