Genesis to Jesus!

EWTN Scott Hahn

Monday evenings at 9pm Eastern Standard on EWTN (and again on Thursdays at 2am Eastern), St. Paul Center president Dr. Scott Hahn will be presenting a new television series, “Genesis to Jesus.”  Joined by our vice president, Rob Corzine, Dr. Hahn will unpack the story that unites all the books of the Bible as a single book.  It’s the story of God’s covenant with His people.  God’s enduring faithfulness and humanity’s recurring unfaithfulness, makes for a dramatic narrative, one that takes us from creation to the end of time.  The series of 13 half-hour conversations builds on Scott Hahn’s bestselling book, A Father Who Keeps His Promises.

In addition to the television series, there are two other successful programs of the St. Paul Center with the same name.  First, there is a free online Bible study that you can register for and take at your own pace, either on your own or in a group.  Over forty thousand students from all over the world have gone through this study.  The online study goes into more detail, especially in the Old Testament background, than there is time to lay out in the television series.  In addition to “Genesis to Jesus, there are a number of other free online studies you can choose from.  If you’ve registered for any one of the studies, you don’t need to re-register to come back and go through any of the rest.

Finally, the Center has prepared a parish-based Bible study program, Journey Through Scripture, designed to make it easy to start and facilitate a Bible study in your own parish.  The first study in that program is also called “Genesis to Jesus” and covers basically the same material as the online course.  That study is followed by The Bible and the Mass, The Bible and the Blessed Virgin, the Bible and the Sacraments, and (coming this fall) the Bible and the Early Church Fathers.  Journey Through Scripture groups, both English and Spanish, meet all across the United States and in seven foreign nations.  For more information on how you can bring Journey Through Scripture to your diocese, click here.
